We used Kate as a ‘conference anthropologist’ at the AVCAL 2014 Alpha Conference. Kate attended all the sessions and mixed with the attendees to get a flavour of not just what was said on the stage, but what the audience was talking about on the day. The result was a great wrap of the day which amplified our message so that those that couldn’t attend the conference know what happened and are hopefully enticed to come next year!

Kate worked as consultant editor on the relaunch of Property Australia—the ‘bible’ magazine for the property industry that is published by the Property Council of Australia. Kate’s depth of knowledge and understanding of the issues faced by Australia’s leading property businesses and of Australia’s wider economic, business and political landscape was invaluable. She is highly commercial and good at working with clients and helping them find solutions.

Kate Mills was contracted by the Australian institute of Company Directors to assist in a strategic project to develop a year-long program on engagement for business owners and directors of small and medium size businesses. As well as a content audit, her valuable contribution was the creation of a content framework, which underpins the program providing the necessary rigour and structure that our brand is known for.

Kate Mills is a professional. Kate has a rare ability when moderating and leading corporate discussions, roundtables, seminars and think tanks, to engage the audience and produce compelling and interesting content. She has a happy knack of making senior executives feel comfortable in her presence, whilst drawing out the most interesting and relevant topical themes to engage audiences.

We used Kate Mills for a speaking event for small-to mid-sized business owners where her profile in this area having been Editor of BRW meant that she was a real draw card. Kate is one of those rare speakers who is incredibly comfortable in front of an audience and working a room. She delivered a great presentation that drew in the audience and provoked several questions for question time.

Kate is an outstanding speaker. Kate Mills was one of the outstanding speakers at Fairfax Media while she was Editor of BRW. We would regularly use her to MC Financial Review Group events such as CFO conferences and BRW Fast Clubs and conferences. She’s got an incredible enthusiasm for business and makes it really accessible for the audience. She’s also got an eye to what’s new and what’s innovative and is usually ahead of the curve.

We used Kate as a ‘conference anthropologist’ and to MC our awards this year. Both services were great—Kate delivered a succinct wrap of the conference that we have been able to use to get out to both attendees and our wider audience and her MC’ing was pitch perfect! As she had been at the conference all day she was across what our industry was about and this created a great rapport with the audience. She was at the same time funny and complimentary about what investor relations specialists do and made it a night to remember.

Kate was the keynote speaker at the AMIC 2015 Conference. We wanted to open the Conference with someone from outside the industry but also someone who could also tailor their presentation to produce useful insights that were relevant. Kate more than delivered on both points. Her presentation was thought-provoking, but also demonstrated to everyone in the room what the big trends in terms of automation and offshoring would mean for them and their businesses.

We used Kate as our Conference MC and Conference Anthropologist at Xerocon 2016—the biggest gathering of accountants and advisers in the southern hemisphere. She kicked it off with a high energy presentation that really distilled for the audience why they were here, what they were going to see and how to get the most out of the conference. I would have no hesitation in working with Kate again – it’s great to work with a MC/speaker that has such a high level of professionalism.
